MMS: Happy Friday everyone! Families next week is the last week! Encourage your students to get any missing work submitted! Monday 5/19 we have 7th and 8th grade field trips. Wednesday 5/21 is 8th grade promotion at 10 am. Remember the eligibility criteria, no more than 1 F on Quarter 4 Grades! Again, get the missing work submitted! Thursday 5/22 at 9:30 am is the 6th and 7th grade awards ceremony. After that will be the MMS Field/Fun Day. We have a dunk tank, watermelon eating contests, water balloons and more! Friday May 23rd is the last day for students. Thanks everyone. Have a great weekend and we hope to see you all next week!

MMS: Here are some important upcoming dates at MMS. May 15th, MHS Class of 2025 Walkthrough. May 19th, 7th Grade Field Trip to Explora, 8th Grade Field Trip to Holiday Bowl. May 21st, 8th Grade Promotion at 10 am at MHS PAC. May 22nd, 6th and 7th Grade Academic Awards Ceremony at 9:30 am in the MMS gym. May 22nd is the MMS Field/Fun Day. May 23rd is the last day for students. Our time is short but we would love to see as many of our families attend these events as possible! Thanks everyone!

MMS: Please talk with your student about caring for their Chromebooks. Students and families are responsible for the safety and care of Chromebooks. Broken, lost , or stolen Chromebooks will cost $200. Please keep them in good shape and take care of them. Lost or stolen Chargers cost $25. We just want to echo the sentiments from MHS. There is currently a movement on Tik Tok where students are intentionally destroying their chromebooks by placing graphite into ports and causing the chromebooks to begin smoking and melting down. Students will be held financially responsible for the well being of their chromebooks. This also relates to chipping of keys and other means of intentionally destroying components of these devices. We have seen a rise in damage to our devices in the last few days. Thanks for your attention to this matter

MMS: Here's the link to the MMS May Newsletter! Sorry that it's late. Time got away from me! It worked out because we've had several dates change so this newsletter reflects those and is accurate to the best of my knowledge. The end of the year is rapidly approaching. Get those missing assignments submitted and let's finish the year strong, Colts! Have a great end of your week everyone!

Today, we celebrate our Student Nutrition Staff! Thank you for ensuring our students are healthy and have daily nutritious meals!

MMS: Good morning and Happy Friday from MMS! Yesterday's Isotopes game was a massive success! Students did great and really seemed to enjoy themselves. We received multiple compliments from Isotopes staff on how respectful our MMS students were. A huge shoutout to Sarah Chavez and the APT Family Enterprise for granting MMS with the funding to provide this opportunity to our students. Our students have worked incredibly hard this year and deserve to experience things like yesterday's game. We're nearly done with state testing for the school year! Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. I'm incredibly appreciative and thankful for the collective growth our staff has made and continues to make. Families, students and MMS staff are all working collectively to make MMS a better place! We appreciate everyone's efforts! Have a good weekend everyone!

May 1st is National School Principals Day! MESD is thankful for our dedicated leaders who support students, staff, and families!

MMS: Good day to everyone. MMS goes to the Isotopes tomorrow! A few reminders about this. We will leave to the ballpark at 9:30 am. We will leave the ballpark by 1:45 pm to be back in time for the buses. Isotopes park does not accept cash. They will convert cash to their Isotopes bucks but will not convert those back to cash. Isotopes park has a clear bag policy. Students will be leaving their backpacks at MMS. As part of their ticket, students will receive a peanut butter and jelly uncrustable sandwich, chips and a drink. Students can take in, unopened water bottles but they must be sealed! The forecast is for partly cloudy skies with a high of 76 degrees. It should be perfect! Thanks everyone, have a great Wednesday!

MMS: Happy Monday everyone! We have our final baseball/softball games vs Edgewood, today at MHS. Track hosts the final meet of the season on Wednesday. Due to a tight calendar in the next few weeks we have bumped up the final tests of the year to Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Students will have their End of Year tests in Reading (ELA), Language Usage (Social Studies) and Math (Math). These will take place when the students attend their regularly scheduled class. This is the final round of testing so let's give it all we got and show out all of the learning that has taken place at MMS this year! On Thursday, 5/1, MMS goes to the Isotopes! If there are any lingering permission slips out there, bring those in! We will leave MMS at 9:30 and then leave Isotopes Park at 2:00 pm to return to MMS. Thanks everyone, have great weeks and let's finish the school year strong Colts!

MMS: Good morning everyone! EVERY student at MMS will have the opportunity to attend the Isotopes game next Thursday, May 1st. Permission slips have been sent home, please return that ASAP so that we can get an accurate count for tickets. Please check with your students about their grades! This quarter and semester's grades impact Athletic Eligibility for Fall Sports! Also, 8th grade students can't have more than 1 F on their report card in order to be recognized at the MMS 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on May 21st. Let's make sure that we have all work submitted! Thanks everyone. Have a great week!

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! Today we celebrate all of our dedicated office staff who work so hard for schools, students, and families! Thank you for all that you do!

MMS: Just a final reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday 4/18 nor Monday 4/21 for students. Students need to log in and work on assignments that teachers have posted! Summative testing is complete with a few students needing to do makeups but the number is really manageable and we can't thank you enough in assisting us through this endeavor! We can't wait to see the results because we are confident that our students our going to show out! Be on the lookout for another field trip form, this one to the Isotopes game on May 1st! Have enjoyable holiday weekends everyone!

MMS: Hello everyone! A couple of reminders. Tomorrow is our final day of summative state testing! Please assist us in having chromebooks charged and students being present and on time! Encourage great effort! We will have a final round of testing in May but that will be less disruptive to our schedule, more to come on that at a later date! We have no school this Friday 4/18 and next Monday 4/21 is a remote day. Teachers will assign work that needs to be completed but students do not need to log in for live sessions with their teachers. Lastly, progress reports were sent home today! Ask your student about their progress report! Thanks everyone. Be well!
